The Bionic Ear Show

VOTE NOW TO CROWN MIDLANDS PROJECT AS WINNERS OF THE NATIONAL LOTTERY AWARDS

Inspirational project, The Bionic Ear Show, has reached the final of the National Lottery Awards in the Best Health Project category and now we need everyone to show their support as the final voting deadline approaches.

The National Lottery Awards are the annual search to find the UK’s favourite projects.  They recognise the life-changing difference that National Lottery funding makes to communities across the UK. The winner in each category, decided by public vote, will be celebrated at a special star-studded BBC One Show later in the year.

The Bionic Ear Show by Deafness Research UK is a show which tours the country and most recently the East Midlands. The show is taken into schools, groups and organisations and teaches people about how hearing works and how to protect it using a giant ear for demonstrations.

The show is literally changing peoples lives and with the aid of National Lottery funding the Bionic Ear Show has had the opportunity to tour the Midlands. The show visited the Nottingham Deaf Society, Deer Park Primary School in Derbyshire and Kier Build in Wolverhampton. The show also educated children on the importance of looking after your hearing at Sir Stanley Matthews Academy in Stoke-on-Trent, All Saints Church of England Primary and Geddington Primary in Northamptonshire. The show, complete with its giant ear, made a big impact at the Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham in March.

We are over the moon at reaching the finals and would like to thank every member of the public in the Midlands who took the time to vote for us.
